Speakers: Julian Spratte, Kai Niebert, Shehnaaz MoosaModerator: Declan Curry
Theme: CLIMATE AND SUSTAINABILITY
Local communities, often bearing the greatest impacts of climate change, are key to developing practical solutions to drive sustainable progress. This interactive session will focus on local initiatives that address the intersection of critical Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through an in-depth exploration of grassroots projects, the session will demonstrate how community-driven efforts are providing practical solutions to some of the most pressing environmental and social challenges.
The discussion will center on two key objectives. First, it will analyze how these localized initiatives contribute to the achievement of the SDGs within their immediate contexts, illustrating their role in improving living conditions and enhancing community resilience. Second, it will examine the potential for scaling these efforts to broader levels, identifying strategies to amplify their impact and align them with national and global climate action frameworks.
